My grandma loves it
I bought this book for my grandma about 5 or 6 years ago. Its a VERY SMALL book. fits in your pocket, but definatly worth reading. basic info on every gem on the planet.
but if you want detailed, page after page long info on a certain rare gem- this is not the book. this is just a gorgeous simple overview.

Cannot find dolomite granulation technology.
Would like to know if anyone has technology on graunating dolomite into a very small granule at about 0.3 - 0.5 mm. diameter. This will be for prawn farming usage.

Don't Rock the Ark
Published in Paperback by Troll Assoc (February, 1997)
Author: Elizabeth Rodger
Average review score:

Not too much religion
Elizabeth Rodger has done a wonderful job of telling the story of Noah's ark without bringing in too much religion. The book doesn't preach, it tells the story for a child to hear and be entertained by. I found the book to be written very well with lovely pictures. I wouldn't recommend this book for anyone with a child or grandchild... I WOULD BUY IT FOR THEM!

The Donkey and the Rock
Published in School & Library Binding by Henry Holt & Company, Inc. (April, 1999)
Author: Demi
Average review score:

Great adaption of an ancient folktale
This story is rather simple, and yet it conveys a rather universal message that will touch adults as well as children. I not only reccomend it to those who want to expose children to stories from cultures other than their own, but also to anyone that appreciates great stories in general.

The Doors
Published in Paperback by Hal Leonard (April, 2002)
Author: Wolf Marshall
Average review score:

Great instructional book.
This books is great for those of us guitar geeks who like to know in depth details about the song's construction. Robby Krieger was contacted for this book and he submitted comments for it. The CD is great because it contains slower tempos, as do all Signature Licks books by Wolf Marshall.

My only complaints:

I wish "The End" (my favorite Doors song) and "Spanish Caravan" were included. You'd think the latter song would be essential to a collections like this. It's Robby Krieger's signature song! The tabs aren't complete. But that's what I've come to expect with Signature Licks books. But if you want to learn "Spanish Caravan" there are a couple of good tabs for it at mysongbook.com.

Doors -- Artistic Vision
Published in Paperback by Sanctuary Publishing (01 June, 1998)
Authors: Doug Sundling, Diana Bittner, and Danny Sugerman
Average review score:

Just the Facts
Doug's insight and study of The Door's will prove to be of interest to any Door's fan. His book will give you the facts of the group, no disinformation or creative story-telling here. I have already had the pleasure of reading some of his other books and I can tell you that he is an author that will tell it like it is and give you an insight you have yet to see in any aspect he is writing about. He plunges to the depth of the soul of the subject and comes back up again to leave you thinking of how this applies to your own life. I would reccomend anything that he writes as time well spent.

The Doors Anthology
Published in Paperback by Hal Leonard (December, 2000)
Authors: Hal Leonard, Doors, and Hal Leonard Publishing Corporation
Average review score:

Excellent Songbook
The Hal Leonard Company really did an excellent job in putting together this songbook. Most if not all of the music in this book is letter accurate. Many of the songs have the solos written out so a keyboard player does not have to work very hard. Light My Fire is a rare exception but I doubt any source would ellaborate on the four minute instrumental solo.

What's interesting here is that songs from the Other Voices LP are included in this songbook. Other Voices is the first Doors record that was released after Jim Morrison died. It features the vocals of Robbie Kreiger and Ray Manzarek. Too bad that record is so difficult to find. Also included are stories about the Doors music/recording history as well as an interview with Robbie Krieger.

Overall an excellent resource for musicians who like the Doors.

The Doors: The Complete Illustrated Lyrics
Published in Hardcover by Hyperion Pr (September, 1991)
Authors: Danny Sugerman, Wallace Fowlie, and Doors
Average review score:

One Mad Morrison Fan
I can't believe, I REFUSE to believe, that this book is not in print. Out of all the Doors rehashed drunken Jim tales and bad poetry insights (with a few notable exceptions), this was the best Doors book around. This is where Jim's poetry, prose, attitude and expression developed, improved and kicked rear in the whole world: HIS MUSIC. The lyrics are the best writing of Morrison hands down. I'll take Moonlight Drive or The End or Indian Summer or End Of The Night over anything in that Lords and the New Creatures book anyday! Bring this one back, publishers! NOW!

Doowop: The Chicago Scene (Music in American Life)
Published in Paperback by Univ of Illinois Pr (Trd) (February, 1997)
Author: Robert Pruter
Average review score:

For Chicago music fans
A fascinating journey through the doowop era in Chicago. It's all here-singers, songwriters, record companies. If it happened, Pruter has chronicled it. Another book by the same author-"Chicago Soul"-picks up the story where this book ends.
